Fees and Policies
I believe in supporting and restoring relationships, partnerships, marriages and families.
I also believe in the dignity and equal value of all people; forgiveness, personal responsibility, healing, and providing safe, non-judgmental counselling.
My strong desire is to be of service to all people, regardless of their financial circumstances. I work with a sliding scale to enable a professional counselling service for all.
Payment
Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer at each session.
'No Secrets' Policy
When working with a couple, the couple relationship becomes my client. During the course of working with a couple, I will request one individual session with each of the couple as part of the EFT treatment model.
Such sessions are confidential in the sense that I will not release any confidential information to a third party, unless I am required by law or have your written authorisation, and the authorisation of the other individual in the couple.
In some circumstances, if one partner shares a secret, which, if not disclosed may impede the treatment process, I may need to share that information learned in an individual session with the couple. This ensures I am effectively serving the couple.
I will use my best judgement as to whether, when and to what extent I will make disclosures, and if appropriate first give the individual the option to disclose the information themselves. If you feel it necessary to discuss matters that you want absolutely shared with no one, you may want to consult with another individual therapist.
This 'No Secrets' policy is intended to allow me to safely treat a couple, and help me maintain a positive relationship with each partner.
Cancellation Policy
I appreciate that life is not always predictable, and that emergencies and last-minute changes can come up in your life. Therefore, if you find yourself unable to attend a scheduled session, I require 24 hours’ notice to reschedule a session. This allows me to allow other clients to fill your scheduled time slot. Please keep the 24 hours’ notice requirement in mind to avoid a full session charge on your part.
Late Arrivals
As above, I understand that life can be tricky and things can come up last minute and you might be not arriving on time. However, if you are late to your scheduled appointment, your session will still finish at the scheduled time. This allows any following clients to have their full session time.
